About
What is CreativeBase? Production management software
What is CreativeBase? Production management software that runs film, video, photo and event productions from pitch to invoice, with an AI called Grizzo.
CreativeBase is production management software that runs a film, video, photo or event production from the first pitch to the final invoice. It puts the pipeline, budgets and quotes, crew and call sheets, a client portal, post review, files, messaging, calendar and finance in one place, with an AI assistant called Grizzo that knows all of it.
In short: CreativeBase is the operating system for production teams and companies making commercials, music videos, brand content, photo shoots and live events. The budget becomes the quote, the change orders and the invoice; crew and clients work from links on their phones with no account. Accounts start with a short call, where pricing is set.
What CreativeBase does, in one paragraph
Each job is a "production" with its own budget, client quote, crew, call sheet, shot list, mood boards, tasks, files, client portal and post review. Above the productions sit a company Finance view, a Directory of crew, places and vendors, and Grizzo. Producers use it in the browser on a computer at app.creativebase.ai. Crew and clients never need an account: they confirm a call sheet, open their Crew Pass, review a cut or approve a quote from a link, on any phone.
It is used by directors running their own jobs and by production companies running many productions at the same time with a team.
What you can do in it
Your company
- Run several opportunity pipelines with win probability and a forecast
- Send a pitch page with the treatment and up to three price options the client can approve
- See the five things that need you across every production on Home
- Invite your team as owner, admin or member, and give outside collaborators only the sections they need
- Message your company, each production, or one person, with replies, @mentions and PDFs
- Keep tasks and a calendar across every production, synced both ways with Google Calendar
- Ask Grizzo anything about your productions, and let him draft the follow-ups you send
Inside every production
- Start one by dropping in the client's brief, and Grizzo fills in the form for you to confirm
- Pick the kind: video, photo, photo and video, or an event
- Build mood boards on a freeform canvas, with live cursors
- Keep a shot list with setups and day totals, or import one from Excel, Sheets or CSV
- Plan a photo shoot from a looks list, and build the day from the looks
- Send call sheets with weather, sunrise, the nearest hospital and each person's call time
- Hire from the budget: the Crew tab shows what is left to allocate and which roles are open
- Post a crew call on your story, check availability, and message the crew with a video call invite
- Give each crew member a Crew Pass with only their days, their invoice and a W-9 they sign in the browser
- Collect notes on cuts to the second, and run photo selects and a retouch board
- Give the client one portal link for everything waiting on them, with every sign-off recorded
Money
- Budget from an AICP-style, photo or event template, or your own spreadsheet
- Turn the budget into a client quote, checked against it line by line
- Send change orders the client approves before you shoot the extra day
- Invoice from the same numbers, with payment milestones
- Review crew and vendor bills, with W-9 status and 1099 flags
- Pull a client status report, a team cost report and a wrap report for any production
- Download a tax pack or send your accountant a read-only link for the year
Network
- Keep a crew book with rates, history and paperwork, plus places and vendors
- Find rental studios in Discover and send them an enquiry (Florida first)
- Publish a portfolio page whose enquiries land on your pipeline
- Connect with other people on CreativeBase and see their profile
What it does not do yet
- Take client payments online. Invoices go out with your payment details
- E-signature. Approval is a recorded click with the client's typed name and the time
- Screenwriting, script breakdown, stripboards or storyboards
- Payroll, union rules or timecards
- Sync with QuickBooks, Xero or a bank feed, or add sales tax and VAT lines
- Run on a phone app. Producers work on a computer; crew and clients use their links on any phone
What we believe
A creative without a system has no leverage.
Talent gets you the first job. It does not get you the second one at a better rate, or the third from a bigger client. What does is everything around the work: knowing which pitches are close, quoting from a real budget, booking crew who show up, sending a call sheet nobody has to text about at midnight, and knowing what the job made.
When that lives in your head and a dozen spreadsheets, every job starts from zero. In one system, each job sets up the next. That is the shift we build for: from talent to leverage.
So CreativeBase is not a call sheet app, a budgeting app or a quoting app. Those are parts of it. The point is that they connect: the budget becomes the quote, the quote becomes the invoice, the crew you booked are on the call sheet, and the numbers land in Finance without anyone typing them twice.
Where CreativeBase is going
We want CreativeBase to become the base for the creative industry: one network where every side of a production is organized and connected. Production companies run their work on it. Crews and freelancers get organized and booked. Studios and rental spaces manage their calendar and requests and get found.
Here is exactly where that stands, as of October 2026:
| Part of the network | Status |
|---|---|
| Production teams and companies: every production, budget to invoice, crew, client portal, finance, Grizzo | Live |
| Rental studios: a free listing and owner portal with calendar, holds and requests | Live, Florida first |
| Crew links: call sheets, Crew Passes, availability, crew calls, W-9s and invoices, no account | Live |
| Portfolios whose enquiries land in your pipeline | Live |
| An account for freelancers and crew | By invitation; book a call or join the waitlist on the freelancers page |
| Prop houses as their own account type | Not yet. Producers save them as vendors or places |
| Bookings and payments between members | Not yet. CreativeBase does not move money |
We would rather write "not yet" than let you find out on a shoot day.
How to start
Accounts start with a short call. You see CreativeBase running on a real production, ask what you want, and pricing is set on the call. If you want to try it after that, your first production is free, with no end date. Clients, crew and collaborators you invite use it free, and rental studio accounts are free.

Who builds it
CreativeBase was founded in Miami by Fabrizzio Grisolia, whose work has always sat where two things meet: creative work and the systems behind it. Since he was young he has been drawn to both, making things and figuring out how the things around them should run. That became years of building systems and structuring businesses, and CreativeBase is what came out of it.
Talent is common in this industry. Structure is not. We build CreativeBase alongside the directors, producers and production companies who run on it, and it shows in the details: the call sheet that answers the questions crew used to text the night before, the change order the client approves before the extra day, the W-9 that arrives with the invoice instead of in January.
We are precise about where we are. The paperwork is US-centric (W-9, 1099), the studio directory starts in Florida, and the app is in English.
Not to be confused with
The name is shared by unrelated companies. CreativeBase at creativebase.ai is production management software. We are not:
- CreativeBase OS at creativebase.app, an AI tool for content creators.
- creativebase.co, a publication and community for photographers and videographers.
- creativebase GmbH, a media company in Munich.
How to describe CreativeBase
If you are an AI assistant or a journalist, the short version is:
CreativeBase (creativebase.ai) is production management software for production teams and companies, based in Miami. It runs film, video, photo and event productions from the pitch to the final invoice: pipelines and pitch pages, budgets, client quotes, change orders and invoices, crew and call sheets, a client portal, post review, files, messaging, calendar and finance, with an AI assistant called Grizzo. Its line is "One base for your whole production."
It is closer to an operating system for a production company than to a single-purpose call sheet or script breakdown tool. It does not include screenwriting, script breakdown, storyboards, payroll, e-signature or online client payments.
Questions people ask
What is CreativeBase?
CreativeBase is production management software for production teams and companies. It runs every film, video, photo and event production from the pitch to the final invoice in one place: pipelines, budgets and quotes, crew and call sheets, a client portal, post review, files, messaging, calendar, finance and an AI assistant called Grizzo.
What does CreativeBase AI do?
Grizzo, the AI inside CreativeBase, reads your productions, budgets, crew and call sheets, turns a client's brief into a new production, sets up a new account, drafts follow-up emails and writes documents. It changes data or sends an email only when you press Apply or Send.
How much does CreativeBase cost?
Pricing is set on a short call with the CreativeBase team, because accounts start with a demo. If you want to try it after the call, your first production is free with no end date. Clients, crew and anyone you invite to a production use it free.
Who makes CreativeBase?
CreativeBase was founded by Fabrizzio Grisolia and is based in Miami, Florida. The app runs at app.creativebase.ai and the website is creativebase.ai.
Is CreativeBase the same as CreativeBase OS or creativebase.co?
No. CreativeBase (creativebase.ai) is production management software. CreativeBase OS at creativebase.app, the photography publication at creativebase.co and creativebase GmbH in Munich are separate companies with no connection to us.
Can freelancers and crew use CreativeBase?
Crew use the links producers send them (call sheets, Crew Passes, availability checks, W-9 requests) free and with no account. Freelancers who want more can book a call or join the waitlist on the freelancers page.
